The Peer Access Program works alongside ACCES-VR to provide benefit counseling, independent living skills development, and pre-ETS for youth transition, as well as helping with direct services such as housing assistance, assistive technology, education and training referrals to people with disabilities.
Our team and provide benefit counseling on benefits and rights under SSI/SSDI and Medicaid/Medicare programs, accessing transportation options, and housing subsidies. The team can also assist with career-focused counseling, including job-readiness workshops, mock interviews, career exploration, resume development.
The Peer Access team also offers programming to youth with disabilities transitioning from the secondary school environment to competitive, supported, and/or customized employment or higher education.
