CIDNY CONSUMER ACTION NETWORK Meeting
Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2010
Time: 1pm to 3pm
Location: CIDNY Manhattan office 841 Broadway, #301 Between 13th and 14th Streets South of Union Square Park
Contact: Please RSVP to Lourdes I. Rosa-Carrasquillo at (646) 442-4148.

What’s Justice Got to Do With It?

-      Explore the difference between what is fair and what is legal.

-      Learn the broad picture of what kind of rights you have under disability law.

-      Who can help you find out whether a law protects you in your situation?

-      When is it safe to assume the law protects you without checking with experts?

Feel free to bring an example of a situation in which you needed to protect your rights as a disabled person. However, this meeting is not a legal clinic, and we will use individual cases only to illustrate ideas, not to solve individual problems.

Please make any requests for accommodations, such as large print or interpretation services, by Wednesday, March 10.

Refreshments will be served.

*Please be considerate to people dealing with chemical sensitivity disorders and refrain from wearing cologne or perfume at our meetings and events.
